Communities Denied
Across swathes of the United Kingdom, people are denied the Conservatives politicians they voted for. Councils in many parts of the country lack the scrutiny they need to ensure the efficient delivery of services, and the accountability that should come hand in hand with public office.
Talents Wasted
Under the safe seat culture of First Past the Post, the talents of hundreds of potential Conservative leaders of the future are going to waste if they grow up in the wrong area. Facing the choice of moving their families out of the communities they grew up in to be parachuted into a new constituency they have no connection to, the potential leaders of tomorrow are choosing to stick to business and leave politics to others.
